Citroen Relay van updated for 2022 with new equipment

Revised trim structure with new kit and updated engines come the way of Citroen’s largest panel van

Citroen Relay van 2022

The Citroen Relay van has been updated for 2022 with an overhaul of equipment levels and powertrain tweaks.

The new changes include a revised range of Euro 6.3-compliant diesel engines. The 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel is similar to the unit in the old model, except there’s now just two states of tune available. The Relay is offered with either 118bhp and 310Nm of torque or 138bhp and 340Nm of torque. Both options come exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

Citroen has reworked its Relay lineup by ditching the ‘Worker’ trim level, so the new range consists of the entry-level ‘X’, mid-range ‘Enterprise’ and top-spec ‘Driver’. Base ‘X’ versions now get cruise control with a speed limiter as standard and ‘Enterprise’ and ‘Driver’ models gain a new interior USB charging socket and dashboard tablet holder. A 12V loading bay socket is now also included on every model.

Mid-range ‘Enterprise’ models still get rear park assist, a height-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, a five-inch infotainment screen with Sat-Nav and various safety features such as blind spot monitoring and a rear traffic alert system.

The new changes haven’t affected the Relay’s loading capacity. Citroen’s largest panel van still offers a maximum payload of 1,870kg.

Pricing has changed however, with the base ‘X’ increasing to £26,665 and the top-spec ‘Driver’ starting from £35,995 (both excluding VAT).
