New Jaguar XE Reims Edition arrives with unique paint and extra kit

The limited-run Jaguar XE Reims Edition gets unique ‘French Racing Blue’ paint and extra kit beyond the R-Dynamic S model

Jaguar has revealed the new XE Reims Edition. Only 200 will make it exclusively to the UK, and each are available to order now priced from £38,295.

The limited run model gains a variety of cosmetic upgrades over the R-Dynamic S trim model on which it’s based. The most obvious is the ‘French Racing Blue’ paint; a shade previously used in the limited run XKR-S and XFR-S models.

The paint is set off by a black contrasting finish for the grille and side window surrounds, roof, door mirrors and sill inserts. The 19-inch alloy wheels are also painted gloss black.

Inside, the Reims Edition is trimmed in black leather upholstery with contrasting stitching. Rear privacy glass is standard as is the Cold Climate pack which includes a heated windscreen, heated steering wheel and headlight washers.

Other standard equipment includes that introduced to the rest of the recently-updated XE range, including full LED headlights, a reversing camera and smartphone integration.

Under the bonnet, the Reims Edition uses Jaguar’s 2.0-litre turbocharged Ingenium petrol engine. Here it produces 247bhp and 365Nm, which, when deployed through the rear wheels via an eight speed automatic gearbox, is enough to propel it from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds.

The Reims name was chosen for Jaguar’s latest special edition in order to commemorate the first competitive victory for its iconic D-Type at the 12-hours of Reims in 1954.
