New 2023 Renault Arkana facelift unveiled with tweaks inside and out

The Renault Arkana coupe-SUV has been updated in line with the brand’s ‘Renaulution’

The Renault Arkana has received a mid-life refresh for 2023, gaining new design features inside and out, along with a revised trim-level structure.

Due on sale later this summer, the revised Arkana gets a new pattern for its front grille, with various colours depending on trim, a tweaked LED signature in the headlights, the ‘F1 blade’ that we’ve seen on the new Clio and Austral, and of course, Renault’s new logo - leaving the Zoe as the only Renault passenger car to not wear the fresh badge. At the rear, the Arkana’s tail-lights are now smoked, and the exhaust tips have also been given a darker finish.

Instead of the current Evolution, Techno and E-Tech engineered line-up, the facelifted Arkana range will be made up of Evolution, Techno and Esprit Alpine.

As standard, Evolution features sat-nav through Renault’s ‘Easy Link’ infotainment system, which also offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity. The seven-inch touchscreen remains the same size as before, but Renault says it ‘now displays information across a larger area’.

Techno gets a body-coloured front ‘F1 blade’, plus alloy wheels that were previously offered on the sport R.S. Line. Top-spec Esprit Alpine models get satin-grey exterior accents, 19-inch wheels, and a rear lip spoiler.

Renault has no plans to reintroduce the mild-hybrid versions of the Arkana in the UK, although they will continue to be offered in continental Europe. So just one technical spec will be available here: a 1.6-litre full-hybrid petrol, with 143bhp and an automatic gearbox.

The Arkana should land in dealerships by early September. There’s no word yet on pricing but given the tweaks to the specifications, we’d expect a small increase, potentially taking the starting figure to around £30,000.
