New special editions for Peugeot 108 and 208 ranges

Tennis-themed Peugeot 108 and 208 special editions get extra kit, plus new GT Line trim level

Peugeot has announced two new special edition models, as well as a new trim level for the 108 city car. The 108 TOP! Roland Garros and 208 Roland Garros cars are themed around the French Open tennis tournament, recently won by Novak Djokovic, while the 108 GT Line offers a sportier specification in the standard range.

The 108 TOP! Roland Garros model is available with a 1.2-litre PureTech petrol, and costs from £13,360. It's based on the Allure trim level, and gets a retractable fabric roof, 15-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, LED daytime running lights and Roland Garros badging. It's painted in Diamond White, with orange door mirrors and wheel centre caps.

It also gets sat-nav, air-conditioning, electric mirrors, keyless go and special dashboard detailing too, along with safety kit including active city braking, lane departure warning and a reversing camera.

The 208 Roland Garros is also based on the Allure trim, and gets 16-inch alloys, tinted windows, LED running lights, a panoramic sunroof and a choice of Nera Black or Satin White paint. There's leather two-tone seats inside, plus DAB radio, sat-nav, a leather steering wheel and smartphone connectivity for the infotainment system.

Safety kit includes a reversing camera, cruise control and automatic headlights, and you can choose from either the 1.2-litre PureTech petrol with 108bhp (for £17,965) or the 1.6-litre BlueHDi diesel with 98bhp (for £18,915). Both engines have emissions of less than 100g/km, though if you choose an automatic gearbox for the petrol model the number grows to 104g/km.

Finally, the new 108 GT Line trim adds a sporty look to the city car, adding 15-inch wheels, tinted windows, red badging on the grille, front fog lights and black door mirrors. Inside, there's automatic air-con, sat-nav, leather seats and a red colour scheme. It's available from £12,760 for the 1.2-litre PureTech petrol with 81bhp.
